AI Summit 2025
“AI requires human creativity to disrupt it, to make interesting things.”
— Eric Uhlir, group creative director, Deloitte Digital
As AI transforms the creative landscape, the most valuable assets remain distinctly human. “Curiosity, problem solving, storytelling, idiosyncrasy — these are the characteristics I was looking for before AI and still am,” says Kate Aronowitz, portfolio operations lead at GV and SCAD executive in residence.

SCAD AI Summit 2024
Under the direction of President Wallace, the SCAD AI task force organized the SCAD AI Summit to cement the technology’s role in the continuous improvement of the university’s design education. Held at SCAD’s Deloitte Foundry, the two-day event explored the intricate relationship between artificial intelligence and design.
Creative leaders, tech innovators, and academic visionaries facilitated meaningful discussions, shared insights, and explored AI’s impact on the design world. A series of roundtable sessions, moderated by Utkarsh Seth, Senior Staff UX Manager for Android at Google, provided a platform for diverse perspectives to collaboratively steer SCAD through policies and procedures related to AI and its integration into university curriculum and offerings. The inaugural SCAD AI Summit established the university’s future-forward position: AI awareness and proficiency level up design education and empower designers to become leaders.
